What’s Bear Paddle?

Bear Paddle Swim School & Clubhouse specializes swim lessons for children as young as six months old. We are dedicated to helping your child become a safe and confident swimmer.

State-of-The-Art Saltwater Pool

We maintain the pool water temperature at a warm 92 degrees Fahrenheit keeping your child comfortable and engaged. Our state-of-the-art saltwater and ultra violet (UV) sanitation system ensures your child will experience clean water and air that is gentler to skin, eyes and lungs. Our state of the art three stage sanitizing system insures water clarity, cleanliness and a softer water experience.
  1. The high efficiency filters trap and remove impurities in the water down to 5 microns (1/10 the width of a human hair) to provide a sparkling pool.
  2. The high powered Ultra-Violet light sanitizes all the water in the pool within a 6 hour period.
  3. A new technology called Chlorination, is a completely automated system where salt water from the pool is actually turned into a cleaning agent, constantly monitoring the balance of the water. We do not store chlorine on site but we produce it on an “as need basis” through our Chlorination machine.
Our sophisticated pool sanitation system delivers the best swimming environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Dedicated Children’s Facility

Our facility is truly kid-friendly. Amenities include kid-sized toilets and mirrors, a “Kid Wash” shower area, and plenty of changing stations for little ones and parents on the go.

Innovative Curriculum and Certified Teachers

Our curriculum is designed from a child’s perspective. Story-based lesson plans with engaging themes keep your child excited and enthusiastic about learning all year long. There are 24 skills to master, ranging from water adjustment to learning the fundamentals of competitive swimming. Our unique Patch Reward System encourages skill progression and recognizes your child’s accomplishments. Our teachers are certified in the “Bear Paddle” method of teaching. This includes extensive training in safety, positive re-enforcement, and swimming excellence. All teachers are 18 years or older and are American Red Cross CPR certified.

Convenient Registration and Class Scheduling

The registration process is designed to be convenient, enabling you to view and register for all classes and events online. We are open year-round making lessons a convenient and consistent part of you and your child’s routine. To make activity scheduling easier throughout the year, Bear Paddle utilizes perpetual registration, meaning that classes continue until you wish to change times or take a break. This allows your child to progress with their favorite teacher, and you to have the flexibility to adjust the day and time of your child’s lessons. We guarantee a fun and engaging experience where children of all ages with varying abilities learn to swim and improve their skills in a safe and entertaining environment.
